Student Groups are communities built and run by students. At RSU, we support Student Group Leaders to recruit members, deliver activities, and build a legacy at Roehampton. Student Groups include Societies and Student Networks. A description of each can be found below: Societies - Societies are communities led by student volunteers, who run recreational activities and events throughout the year. Societies have helped thousands of students make unforgettable memories during their time at Roehampton, discover a new hobby, and grow their skills! Student Networks - Student Networks are representative communities led by students, which focus on liberation, campaigning and giving a voice to marganisalised communities. They are safe spaces for students to discuss important topics and work in partnership with the RSU to improve student experience. Anybody can lead a Student Group and we strongly encourage you to get involved. Sometimes, Student Groups go dormant due to nobody being elected to run the Committee - we put these Student Groups up for adoption, and enable interested students like you to restart them! You'll need 3 students to run your Student Group in the roles of President/Chairman (for Networks), Secretary, and Treasurer. Click the drop-box below to explore which Student Groups are up for adoption.
